Freeway Express Upload FTP Tutorial

1. Click on the Upload feature.

2. Server Info: When a new hosting account is first set up, you can use the site's IP address (provided by 4factors.com) which will look something like this: 216.11.20.1.

Once your domain name is live (this takes 1-3 days) you can use your domain name for the server info in this format: yourdomain.com (or .org, .biz, etc.)

3. Directory - To publish to your server's homepage location, set this to: www

If you want to publish a 2nd site somewhere on your server (such as in a sub folder) use www/subfolder

4. Username - provided by 4factors.com at setup.

5. Password - provided by 4factors.com at setup.

6. Passive FTP (PASV) - check this.

7. Save FTP Log - This is not required, but could be useful if you want to look back at what changes you've made to your site over time. If you want to track that information, check it.
