Microsoft Outlook 2000 Email Setup

1. From the Outlook Tools menu, choose Accounts

2. Click the Mail tab
Click Add, and Mail

3. In the Display, type in Your Name

4. In the Internet Mail Address box, type in your e-mail address (e.g., username@domain.com)

5. The Incoming Mail server is a POP3
The Incoming Mail Server is mail.yourdomain.com
The Outgoing Mail Server is mail.yourisp.com

6. Type in the username and password of your new email address.

7. If you are connected through a cable modem or on a LAN, select Connect using my local area network (LAN).

8. If you need to connect through a phone line (modem or DSL), select Connect using my phone line, then fill in the phone number you dial to connect to your ISP.

9. Select the modem you use to connect.

10. Type in the username and password assigned to you by your ISP.

11. Type in the name of your ISP.

12. Click Send/Receive to check mail.

13. Send a test email to yourself from the account to check the format of your outgoing email, and to make sure you can send and receive effectively.
