Web Based Email Client Tutorial

1. Your web based email is available at:

http://mail.yourdomain.com/

or

http://mail.yourdomain.org/

(Replace 'yourdomain' with your actual domain name.)

2. Login using the following format for your

username:username%yourdomain.com

or

username%yourdomain.org

Note: this is basically your account email address with a percentage sign instead of the @ sign.

3. After logging in, you'll arrive at a screen like the one to the right. To check your mail, click on the Mail hyperlink along the top of the page.

5. After clicking on Mail, you'll arrive at your Inbox. The mail in your inbox is the email that resides on your site's server. If you've downloaded your email using a client email program like Outlook or Outlook Express, it will nolonger be available through the web based interface.

6. To set your email preferences, click on Preferences along the top of the page, then on Mail. The Real Name field will represent what name appears in the From column of emails people receive from you.

7. Email limits. The maximum storage limit for web based email is 10MB. Once you reach that point, emails sent to you may start bouncing back to the senders.

To keep your web based email account clean, be sure to download your emails using Outlook or other client email programs on a regular basis.

Also, be sure to purge out your Sent folder from time to time. Emails stored within that folder count against your storage limit.
